About The Book of Mormon
The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ
The Book of Mormon is a powerful volume of scripture which records the dealings of Jesus Christ with some of the ancient inhabitants of the Americas. As a companion to the Holy Bible, it is an abridgement of the historical records of two different groups of people, both of which were led to the New World by the hand of God. The book’s title page, which was written by Moroni, the last of the prophets who recorded on its pages, tells the purpose of the book: “To show unto the remnant of the house of Israel what great things the Lord hath done for their fathers; and that they may know the covenants of the Lord, that they are not cast off forever—And also to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God, manifesting himself unto all nations.”
Among its pages, preserved for our generation, is a marvelous true account of the Savior’s visit to the inhabitants of this continent, not long after His Resurrection. The Book of Mormon is a second witness that God loves all of His people, and that Jesus is the Shepherd over all of His sheep, and that He has an unchanging plan of happiness for each of us. A promise is contained within the book itself, witnessing that those who read and pray about it, may know of its truthfulness from God Himself.
This website is a wonderful opportunity for you to hear the words from this sacred book’s pages. Listen as many different people share the power of the Book of Mormon’s words with you. Let the Holy Spirit touch your heart and testify to you of the truth of these words. They will bring you comfort, guidance, and strength in your daily life.
Joseph Smith, modern-day prophet and the man who organized The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the earth under the direction of Jesus Christ Himself, said of the Book of Mormon, “I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.”
The Book of Mormon will answer questions of the soul–questions that come to us as part of our divine birthright and longing to know God anew here, and Jesus Christ whom He sent to atone for the sins of the world.
